In this story, Georges Orwell is assisting at an execution and he let us feel how he had conceived the act.
it's really sad to see another healthy human being had his/her life taken away in sort of a quick period of time which is death. I think that any loss of any human life is a considerable loss to all of us, and proving us also the mystery behind life.
i understand that any wrong doing should be punish;however, i am pro life and i am against the destruction of the life of any creature since we are not the creator.i also believe that we are kind of careless about the martyr of our own, obviously in this story people were partying and drinking right after his death.

human psychology and the horror genre
I believe that is so true that we, people pay our money to go seat in front of a big screen looking at other personage being hunted and tortured, mutilated from the front row. i also agree with the author saying where the fun comes from those scenes is it watching others being chased or killed. i think that sometimes scary movies make people more paranoid and scare since they mostly believe it can happen in real life. somes scenes make people think negatively sice it's burned into their memory for ever. at the same talikng you do have people that think that each of us handle our stress differently some like watching, i guess it make them stronger for the next to come.
College pressure
Besides the predicament that the author stated concerning college student, we do face more challenges as students like choosing a major and be sure about it since we will spend time studying....
We also face the difficulties to choose our schools based on our criterias like private schooling or state, and also the living on or off campus. We are facing anxiety about being succesful in life and our career specially when our parents and familly are counting on us later on in life. The other issue which is important is getting a jobafter university or college and being ready for the real world where we will have nobody to help us out in the real job world.

Borges and I
It seems that Borges and the writer is the same person, Borges is the alter ego. He describes that both have the same preferences and sees a lot of himself in Borges. The author describes that he will one day perish and that because of Borges he will live on. He does want to separate himself from Borges but realizes that it will never happen since the two are complimentary. This is where the conflict starts, he doesn’t want to be associated with Borges but they cannot escape from one another. Finally, he got completely confused when he stated that he is not sure who stated/wrote that paragraph describing their inter relationships………
